Top Gun Tie
Story
This tie is a tribute to the iconic 80's movie "Top Gun" from which it takes iconic elements. Among others, the formal wear of the students of Top Gun, the elite school of the U.S. naval aviation, Ray-Ban Pilot - model Large Aviator RB3025 and Kawasaki GPZ900R of Lieutenant Pete Mitchell aka "Maverick". It also refers to the cult volleyball game and one of the most unbelivable action scenes: Maverick's "Tomcat" reversed over a Soviet MiG-28. You can also recognize on the tie the alternating red and white stripes on his helmet.
Fabric
The fabric is a mate silk with a pattern designed in the Cinabre Parisian studio. The tie lining is the signature red twill silk.
Made in France
This tie was carefully handcrafted by Cinabre artisans in France, following the same techniques for 3 generations.
Details
This piece is entirely handmade with a red slip stitch making a loop at the bottom of the tie. The fabric will then keep its elasticity and the tie will recover its initial shape after being used.
To make your tie even more unique, a name or initials and a date can be handwritten on the label.
PERSONALIZATION
You can personalize the label of your tie with a handwritten name (or initials) and date.
This personal touch is not visible when you’re wearing the tie, as it is on the label sewn at the back of it, above the loop.
