THE PECCARY GLOVE

The peccary skin gathers all the characteristics sought for a glove: the leather is soft (that's why peccary gloves rarely have linings), flexible, comfortable, resistant, it keeps warm and takes a patina with time. The peccary is a wild pig from South America. Gloves made from the leather of this animal are sometimes marked by the scars of the animals, which does not affect the quality of the glove. Quite the contrary, the scars are proof that the gloves are genuine.

For this collection of peccary leather gloves, CINABRE has partnered with one of the oldest glove workshops in the world, founded in Naples in 1923. From tanning to cutting and dyeing, the entire production process is carried out by hand and under the supervision of the same family of craftsmen since 1923.

SAVOIR-FAIRE

We have chosen a timeless peccary glove design: English quilted and with three sticks sewn on the back of the hand. It takes 25 operations to make one pair of gloves. The cutting of the leather alone requires three different operations. The peccary leather is selected by the Neapolitan workshop in Peru, land of origin of this animal.

MAINTENANCE OF YOUR GLOVES

To wash your peccary gloves, we recommend lukewarm water and a simple marseille soap or other neutral soap. To dry, use a soft cloth so that no drying blisters form on the leather. Be sure to keep your gloves away from any heat source. Be careful, some materials like ink can mark your gloves indelibly. In case of any doubt we recommend you to give your gloves to a specialist.
