IN LOVE

What would John F. Kennedy Jr., the man who embodied 90s American elegance, wear in 2026? Cinabre, who knows? We dove back into the archives of that era, which ooze charisma and ease. That "effortless" allure directly inspired our very latest shirt.

My tips in this issue to channel his style: the right shirt, statement ties, and binge-watching starting tomorrow with the release of the event series "American Love Story".

ANATOMY OF AN ICON: OUR "JOHN JOHN" SHIRT

The newcomer to our collection is cut from an exclusive Cinabre pattern. The cut is generous, with a beautiful length. Above all, we created our own limited-edition fabric: a white two-ply cotton poplin with widely spaced midnight blue stripes—just like the ones JFK Jr. favored.

As for construction, we didn’t neglect a single detail: two pleats in the back for the drape, an offset armhole for comfort, and four pleats at the cuffs.

AND OUR BEKHAM SHIRT

I've already introduced you to our JFK Jr. tribute shirt (with the wide stripes he favored) and our collection of 10 contrast-collar shirts stolen straight from Gordon Gekko.

For our latest design, we went for absolute purism: aflawlessly classic poplin with fine blue and white stripes. It features our signature cut with a generous cut and sleeves long enough to recapture that true nineties ease.

The "hack" to make the whole thing totally retro-compatible? Clipping our Cinabre suspenders over it.

"HE LOOKED LIKE SUPERMAN"

It was the secret to his allure: an ability to wear a suit and tie without looking like he was heading to the office. Steven M. Gillon, his biographer ("America's Reluctant Prince"), summed it up this way: "The thing about John is, when he needed to dress up and put on a tailor-made suit he looked like Superman". Here are a few Cinabre pieces he might have worn:

STRICTLY TIED

When the schedule demands it, the tie comes back into its own. Scouring the John John archives, I had some fun tracking down lookalikes on our shelves. Texture, unapologetic patterns, deceptively sensible colors. Knot your average charisma.

Shall we meet in front of the series—proper attire required?
