LIKE A CARESS

"Step out of your comfort zone." It’s the mantra of personal development, the imperative of every success coach.Apparently, we must put ourselves at risk to truly exist, and consider well-being a suspicious form of laziness.

Somewhere between Blue Monday and Dry January, I think we’ve earned a little softness. Let’s leave the discomfort to the LinkedIn heroes and wrap ourselves in cashmere against the abrasiveness of the era.

THE SCIENCE OF SOFTNESS

When curating a cashmere wardrobe in all its forms—from winter blazers to two-tone gloves—softness shouldn't just be a feeling. It must be an exact science, measured under a microscope.

A human hair is 75 microns. Classic Merino wool hovers between 20 and 22 microns. "Standard" cashmere is 15. "Grade A" is 14 max. This extreme fineness creates the sensation: the cashmere fiber is so slender that it triggers no nerve signal of irritation signal on the skin.

OUR CASHMERE WARDROBE

For our matchy-matchy Gloves and Beanies, we chose recycled cashmere, crafted from second-hand sweaters. The regenerated fiber retains all its insulating properties with a lighter carbon footprint.

To truly inhabit your comfort zone, step into our Camel Blazer, tailored from exceptional Loro Piana cashmere. Or wrap yourself in our Giant Stoles (210 x 140 cm), like a thermal cloud floating around you.

Cashmere also knows how to elevate other materials. Some of our Ties and Bow Ties feature a blend with silk for a "peach skin" finish: a velvety, almost powdery texture that gives unprecedented depth to the colors.

A CASHMERE DINNER IN PARIS

It is a rare spot: the restaurant Alt is tucked away in the depths of the 16th arrondissement, with no online booking and only eight seats available. You sit at a pristine white tablecloth—and not on your neighbor's lap. Chef Kazuaki Aoi deliberately chose to slow down the pace following a stroke, to continue dedicating infinite care to every plate, a delicate tribute to the great French classics.

Once dessert is over, if the night still calls, slip away a few streets down to the Bar Anglais at the Raphaël: always far from the crowds, in the footsteps of Gainsbourg and Malkovich, for a slightly old-fashioned, perfect nightcap.

Stay warm this winter, right in the heart of your comfort zone.
